Tristar has its own video out, so the HDMI adapter wouldn't work with it at all.BitFaced wrote:Ouch.AppleQueso wrote:In all likelihood honestly it'll probably look worse than a regular NES.
But hey, it's probably worth it to have NES, SNES & N64 all on one system, right?![]()
Though again I ask what cables the Tri-Star 64 & N64 will use when they are RGB modded (maybe RGB cables?). Because hey, at least you wouldn't have to deal with the blurriness/colour bleeding of composite if it's RGB.
And will the HDMI adapter for N64 work with it?

Well that's out, but I still ask about how it goes about with RGB.AppleQueso wrote:Tristar has its own video out, so the HDMI adapter wouldn't work with it at all.BitFaced wrote:Ouch.AppleQueso wrote:In all likelihood honestly it'll probably look worse than a regular NES.

N64/NES/FC/SNES/SFC/GB (SGB)/GBC (Black)(SGB)/FDS/Satellaview/Genesis/Mega Drive/Master System & maybe N64DD/GBC/GBA.
Re: N64/Tri-Star 64 RGB Help?
Also, will S-Video to SCART (passive S-Video to SCART adapter), Composite SCART (in this case RGB SCART cable accepting a Composite NES signal from an otherwise RGB N64/Tri-Star 64) and Composite to SCART adapters work with Sync Strike, GBS-8200 and SLG-3000?

Re: N64/Tri-Star 64 RGB Help?
I haven't been on this site in year but do you know of anybody that can RGB mod an n64? I would do it myself but I am worried I might mess it up again. I have a Japanese N64 BTW..apparently it has better RGB output.darkcat wrote:rgb modding the consoles alone will be the easiest way to go. I personally if i was worried about video quality (it doesn't bother me much) I would get a rgb modded n64 I know someone in canada that performs this service if you want to me to pm you his email let me know. Then use the retron 5 for everything else via hdmi. or the other option is ripping apart the tri-star and getting a snes to nes adapter and hooking that up and hoping for the best I've seen these at a local game store from what i can remember. The easyest of the all the consoles to mod if the snes so I'd start with that one. Another option is to just get a modded xbox then you can run roms and emulators and the picture is much better.
