$15 isn't bad for such a small game, but from the Steam comments I'd rather wait on a few updates.

Yup, there's a lot here I like but it is a bit buggy/laggy/unstable. Very fast - but perhaps too fast?

I might wait until the game gets its first patch to put much more time in.

Yeah. Multiplayer could be really fun but the game feels unfinished, which is a shame. Overall the mechanics and play are sound, but the game runs like shit (can't even hit stable 60fps on low settings in multiplayer), and it's netcode is pretty lackluster, and a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

It feels like a beta product unfortunately. I'm really hoping it's supported well and that it gets a good community around it to keep that support coming.

That certainly didn't stop me from putting in 90 minutes today.

I did, but haven't tried it. Will report back if no one else does first.

Unless they have changed them since last year, they are dosboxed.

I meant to buy it last night but got roped into Orcs Must Die 2. But since my internet went out partway through playing Orcs and was not up this morning, well its for the best that I did not buy it yet.

I did a short video with commentary of me playing through the opening level of the game.

To answer my own question, the Apogee Throwback back is done with dosbox, it has a splash screen menu, you pick the game, it launches dosbox.

The new Shadow Warrior is looking to be a safer bet so far. Thoughts?
