Can't really blame you for misspelling it, but it is:

It's kind of sad when you consider I edited the picture and could see the name

Oh well, let's try to fix it. I didn't like the game much anyways

EDIT: Fixed. Man, this makes me miss my editor.

Re: Erik Twice Reviews thread - Flashback: Myst

Another friday means another Flashback! This time I write about Myst, a game whose reputation has suffered through the years, perhaps unfairly so. In my article, I revindicate it.

The subtle, solemn, divisive world of Myst

I've always felt Space Harrier is a game that everyone knows but very few understand so I decided to dedicate my next Flashback to the issue.

Flashback: Space Harrier’s a model of Suzuki precision

On other news, I finally managed to get a new hosting and I'll be moving shortly, which means I'll be able to update regularly again without crashing the server. Yay :D

An old favourite of mine, Transarctica is one of those games that manage to be more than the sum of their parts to conform a great experience. Set in a post-apocalyptic Earth covered in hail and snow where omnipotent railroad companies provide the only means of communication it's a real adventure, covering the most forgotten aspects of one.

Flashback: Consider the sum of Transarctica’s parts

I'm kind of fed up with my 40 Games critics should play articles but I feel I must finish them so here's the fourth part

Intrigue is the nastiest, evilest game I've ever played, which causes it's low ranking among people who can't take the heat. But if you are willing to treat games as games and not as real life, this is one of the best negotiation games I can recommend and it's accessible too:

Re: Erik Twice Reviews thread - Flashback: The Neverhood

Post by Erik_Twice »

The Neverhood is one of those games that I feel good for playing. It's fun, it's well-made and it stands on its own, it's not one of those games you say "well, it's a pretty good platformer" as you would with a mediocre romantic comedy. You go and say, hey, The Neverhood is The Neverhood and I really like that.

Quite the cult classic, I think you guys will like it a lot.

The Neverhood shouldn't have been, was anyway

A really great game! Nice review mentioning the marketing history, the art style and especially mentioning the very unique music. You are right it is a visual game, even the Japanese PS1 version is very playable. Maybe a mention of how the game is played? The review does not clearly describe it is mouse controlled to move and solve puzzles.

A couple very good Neverhood links, maybe add to your review?

Glad you liked the article :P

I don't think it's really important to describe the interface, the idea is to provide the reader with a bit of insight into a game I find interesting more than telling him everything about it. Note that Flashbacks aren't supposed to be reviews, either!

I cannot modify a review once it's out unless there's some kind of mistake, once it's done it's done.
