I was having fun checking out the CD games when we were testing. I really liked some of the beatemups.

I was really close to keeping the other CDZ, but just couldnt justify the cost with the other stuff I wanted to keep.

The CD systems are actually pretty decent. I know for shmups like the Aero Fighters series and Pulstar, the initial load time is a little long, but the load times between levels is very short. Other games like platformers and such aren't bad, either.

It's the fighters where it really suffers.

Here is my hat thrown into the ring

I have a ebonized ash cmvs running rgb through a 20" pvm. I am steadily buying games and have gotten a good start going in under a years time. I have a NGPC that I have owned since they launched here in the states, but I rarely touch it.

@Brad - Just curious, how much did that copy of Garou run you?

That'll probably be one of the 1st MVS titles I'll look for; that and 1945 Plus.

Garou is not a cheap game. I have complete kit except for serial number mismatch. I believe I paid around $200-250 for it. I sold my Japanese AES copy for about $450 to fund my cmvs transition. That is my absolute favorite game on the system, so I would buy it regardless of price.

Yeah, it's one if my absolute favorite fighters; even so much that I've considered plunking down the $400+ for the AES port.

Sadly, I've only ever played and own the DC port.

I'm pretty into NGPC collecting these days, though I'm going slow. I've got a boxed JPN system (silver) and 4 CIB games: Baseball Stars, Metal Slug 1st Mission, Bust-A-Move Pocket and a Pachi game that came bundled with my system.

Brad / Fox - either of you played Ninja Masters on MVS or AES? I've seen some youtube vids and it looks so solid, but haven't ventured in yet.

I paid $100 for my loose Garou about 18 months ago. Loose cart, depending on label, will run $90-115, full kit w/matching serials in the $300-ish range.

@Fox - 1945 plus will also run right around $100.

EDIT: ooh, Matrimelee and Rage of the Dragons, two that continue to elude me. Nice!

I played Ninja Masters on MAME and remembered I enjoyed it. Sadly, my Matrimelee is a boot, but at least it works great. I recently got got my Rage cart from the one and only Hawaiian himself! James gave me a pretty good price, but I had to move fast before someone scooped it!

I'm currently looking into getting all the art repro'd and I picked up an extra CP to refurbish.
I miss my Big Red, but I'm very happy with this cab. The monitor is excellent and I much prefer the Seimitsu parts.

For carts I've got:
Aero Fighters 2, Blazing Star, Breakers, Double Dragon (kit), Fatal Fury Special, Metal Slug X, Magical Drop 2, Neo Turf Masters, Samurai Showdown 3, Sengoku, Sengoku 3, Shock Troopers 2nd Squad, SvC Chaos (boot), Twinkle Star Sprites (boot), Windjammers, Zed Blade

@mjmjr25 - Ninja Master's is sick. I'm looking for a copy, myself.
