I've been buying more and more games at launch lately because I'm sick of being burned by this out-of-print business. As much as I hate to pay full price for a game, I'd rather pay $40 for a new copy than $60 for a used one a year later.

That's what I'm doing as well. I haven't even opened my copies of Etrian Odyssey IV or Fire Emblem: Awakening, but I wanted to secure a copy before those games eventually go out of print.

Video games are almost becoming like stocks since you have to try and predict which titles will go for ridiculous sums of money in the future. I don't treat games as investments (since my intention is to play) but as you said, I'd rather pay $40 instead of $60.

^ Yup. I bought both of those a day or two after launch and I have Pandora's Tower pre-ordered. I'll probably pre-order the new Ys game and Dragon's Crown too.

Thankfully, I only buy about 10 current gen games per year.

Hope I don't regret buying Radiant Historia for $40 on Amazon just now..

This thread is making me think I should sell my copy of Rule of Rose. I picked it up on clearance and I ended up never opening it.

Well, seeing as Radiant Historia is getting a reprint, I might actually be able to get it this time. I've heard good things about it, but didn't pick it up before because I didn't have a system to play it on....Then the price shoot up. I shall not make the same mistake again!


It just means that that Slayers 1-3 set that I was planning on getting this month will have to wait until April.........damn taxes.

Yes, they are PS2 reprints. As stated, they are on Ebay and Amazon...

I managed to find a pretty copy of DS1 at GS awhile back but never could find the second one...heres my chance

I always wanted to play Devil Summoner I just hope my ps2 still works.
