Just a friendly reminder to all plus members, start the download for every free game and then cancel it. Even if you don't have a vita or space for the game on your hard drive or memory card you can still download it in the future then, even if your sub expires and you renew. Hell I don't have a vita but if I come across a great deal I'll pick one up and be able to play the plus games.

I can't stress this enough.
Great tip -- I'm only one month into my plus subscription, and had no idea about that.

The Vita isn't going anywhere, and it has plenty of time to build its library (I'm not saying the current selection is bad, for the record).

The PSP though, has a big fat pile of awesome games, for cheap as you know. Collecting for the system is addicting and definitely worthwhile.

For me, the huge selection of games and low cost makes it a perfect choice, even outweighing the great deal that is ps+.

I want a Vita myself, but I'd like to see a price drop first. Until then, you seriously cannot go wrong with PSP. Fantastic little system.
Made a deal to get a PSP with a 4gb card, Kingdom Hearts, Lunar, Peace Walker, Lego Batman, and Jeanne D'arc.

I do have PS+ and notice the Megaman Maverick Hunters (according to the Sony PSN site) free game is PSP compatible, so PS+ may score me a couple games in the future.

Free and discounted games get changed every week or two. Definitely worth keeping PS+. Especially if you have a PS3.

Yeah this is key. I discovered this a few months ago and now make sure I do it for all PS+ games even if I don't want to play or download them right now.

Found the white Vita Assassin's Creed bundle for $200 on sale at FutureShop a couple weeks back. Comes with the Vita, the game, and a 4GB mem card. The only downside I see for Vita right now is that the mem cards are way overpriced if you want to get one which will hold a bunch of games. So you basically have to delete a game when you're finished with it and then put the next one on.

I hate downloading stuff it takes forever. Well used to, I'm staying at my dads house now and he's got fiber optic (first block in my city to get fiber actually.) Is there a way around having to redownload games? I mean is there a way to back up the games to your playstation or computer and transfer them to the vita? It would take less time I'm guessing and wouldn't eat bandwidth.

Also a question for those with a vita and plus, does the auto download feature of plus work on the vita?

Another fun fact about plus, the auto download feature is awesome. You set a time when you want the system to turn itself on (giggle) and it will download updates and synch trophy information, but it will also finish and install the games you have downloading in the background. It's great to set up stuff to download before bed and watching something on netflix which stops your download. I'm not sure if everyone knows about it so just a friendly heads up.

I get the PS+ games I don't want to immediately download on the Sony Entertainment Website. Here you can browse, buy (or buy for free w/PS+) and download later.

You know that cross buy thing is a good promotional tool for the Vita. Having all these free Vita versions of PS3 games I've bought is really making me more motivated to buy a Vita. I've got these Vita games sitting on my PS3 just begging to be transferred. It kind of drives that little OCD part of me nuts every time I see them

About 3-5 hours from what I've seen. The battery life tends to drop on PSPs quite quickly though, so if you bought a new battery it could be a bit longer than that.

It's amazing how the PSP was so hackable, while the Vita is the polar opposite.. With that said, if you don't care about graphics or online perks get the PSP.. Better library and cheaper atm, not to mention homebrew..
