Holy crap a Battle Station Panel and boxed! Oh you have got to give an in depth review with pics of this baby. I almost bought one that came with the travel bag, too expensive in shipping costs.

Nice PS2 Splitfish Mouse "Nunchuck" set! Did you buy it when it clearanced out at Gamestop? Most don't like it, I found it works well for a few games, just disappointed the mouse can't be switched to left stick emulation for puzzle games though.

Your Thread helps one to search for games unknown, great reference pics. Everytime you update with more pics, I save the entire first page to my desktop. The pictures in the files folder are then researched later on for figuring out games to look for. Curse you Hobie my wallet is hating you.

Yeah, I grabbed the Splitfish controller when you mentioned they were $3 at GS. I haven't even opened it yet but I'm pretty sure I'll get at least $3 worth of enjoyment out of when I do. I believe the clerk gave me a "WTF is this and why is it only 3 bucks" when I had them pull it down and ring it up.

I've used the Battlestation a little bit. The sticks are a little stiff, but that might be adjustable. I haven't poked inside yet. I managed it for about $100 shipped which isn't too bad considering how big and heavy it is. Admittedly I bought it more as a ridiculous novelty than to use. However if I hook up my C64 it might see some more use.

I had the same problem with inflating my want lists when I first started reading Shmups.com and HG101.

Great story! I have to dig out my Splitfish FX out again see what other games might work well with it. The Nunchuck can be popped off the board and the Sensor Mouse can even use a couch cushion for relaxed gaming. You should really give it a try in PS2 Black, the instant sensitivity adjustment of the focus button. Its not a true mouse, but better control then an analog stick.

I am really curious about that Battlestation, those beautiful buttons. Looking forward to an in depth review if you get a chance after you try it out on the Commodore. Maybe the game Jumpman climbing or Elite might fly better or one of the better C64 games, Space Taxi hovering that cab? Did your boxed unit have the travel bag inside? Imagine that stick modded to work as a PS2 controller along with all the various console and PC adapters. Oh and you know I have to mention possible Twinstick capability, very envious of it.

The pinout connector on the right, maybe an easy mod cable to a PS2 controller PCB?

Back to the Spitfish FX, I found a game maybe worth trying. Most non FPS games use the left analog stick which cannot be used with the FX mouse which emulates the right stick. PS2 Myst III Exile uses either analog stick for moving the cursor around the screen. Weird that it does not have an option for a regular USB Mouse. However, with the Nunchuck and Mouse controlling movement gives the best of both types of control, one in each hand. Added is the capability of on the fly dialing the knob on the side of the Nunchuck for Mouse sensitivity.

PS2 Myst does have an issue of each screen having a delay load which makes for a slower play compared to the PC version. However, the movement is seamless when the PS2 game is installed to PS2 fat internal drive. A great way to explore the Myst World, play the game on the big screen.
