So your spinning shield captures all coins or only coins that were first killed by the spinning shield?

the "shield" is the Shikigami Attack, and I believe captures all coins on screen. (Something I've been forgetting to utilize).

Yeah, this is what confused me about this the first time around, all the characters "hold" shot special is so different. Using the gal with the purple umbrella, she has a homing target you can set on top of any enemies - tough to move that target while dodging bullets, but it's worth it, just got an x8 kill on first boss with it.

interesting Mike, and goes with what I said. So much of this game's strategy seems to come from REALLY figuring out the character best suited to the player, and then how to best utilize that characters' attacks.

Hadn't really played it before. Didn't read up on scoring techniques. The DC emulator I was using gave me flickering bullets on the 2-2 boss, which made them hard to see (now switched to different emulator which works fine). Is that a good enough excuse?

Unfortunately I'm in Japan and my DC is stashed away in a cupboard in my parents house back in Ireland.

While I'm here, though, I should look in the 2nd hand shops to see if I can pick up a cheap(ish) copy of this. I already have Ikaruga, so I've got the boot disc for playing import games.

Yeah, what he said For me, it's not just a game to start up and play, it's a piece of history, and each game we picked is notable in some way, and that's my job, to give you a history, a story, and just some random facts and stuff about each month's game to start you up and get you going.

Enjoy Shikigami, folks! It looks like you can get a bazillion points, and the scores are heating up. As for me, I got a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng game ahead of me on the main TR, it seems this month. Maybe I'll try some Galaga just because Noise did nominate it

This game is dirt cheap on Amazon Japan. Check it out. Recycle shops will probably sell it for 980 yen and up.
