Gaming While Standing

I only stand when I game when I'm in the middle of an unpausable cutscene and nature is calling.

I do this a lot.
I have a bad habit of not letting my body give me any shit. (You'll get a chance to relieve yourself when I'm good and damn ready!) So, by the time I actually run off to the bathroom in the middle of playing a game, I'm usually standing, and hopping around. Some might find it extra distracting, but I think of it as an extra challenge.

Otherwise, I almost never stand while gaming, aside from the very rare instances I play something on a stand-up arcade cabinet. Even when I was living in Japan, and frequenting the arcades, unless I was playing a light-gun game, or a music game, I would be sitting.

Ever since middle school, I frequently pause and walk away from games, though. I don't know if it's gotten worse over the years or not, but I don't think I clock quite as many hours due to idle games these days. I'm not quite as active as I used to be, but I still work hard on my diet, and I'm still fairly fit--able to do hard labor when I need to--so I'm not too concerned about a sedentary lifestyle just yet.

Sometimes I play games like Magician Lord standing. I set the Neo Geo stick on a little bookshelf.

Sorry to go off topic here, but I was just looking this game up on youtube yesterday, and I thought it looked like something that no one would really, consciously, want to play. Do you find yourself playing it often? Is it actually more fun than infuriating?

standing while gaming makes me feel like i'm playing a kiosk demo game at a store...unless of course i'm playing an actual arcade cab.

RPGs games are definitely made for sitting...laying...any relaxation positions. other games i can do either standing or sitting.
