About the game, I really prefer the Genesis look rather than the "HD".

I hope someone breaks into your house, gets hold of your Genesis copy of Pier Solar, uses it to punch your balls and leaves the premises with said cart.

Trying to punch someone while holding a Genesis cart would be awkward and probably would dilute the damage of the punch.

I've only heard of this game and never really researched it. I know it had a Gen/MegaDrive release but the new visuals look nice.

If it looks fun I may back a physical PC copy.

True. But I wanted to damage both his testicles and the cart at the same time. I think the point would be lost if it wasn't like that.

We might also position the cartridge on his balls while he's laid down and stomp on it.

I haven't played the original Genesis game, but something about those screenshots of the blend of seemingly randomly picked pixel sprites on HD backgrounds looks really out of place to me IMO. I definitely prefer the 16-bit look, though that's not to say I'd want to "stop" this from happening obviously.

Why not make everything HD?? Seems like they just slapped some random 16-bit sprites on there and called it a "unique style". The new graphics are really well-drawn though, just doesn't all naturally flow together to me like the original graphics all together.

I think the HD screens look really nice. For me, it's a matter of whether or not I can afford the $50 right now. It's also kind of hard for me to drop $50 on a game I won't have for over a year haha.

Why? So you can be selfish and feel elite? Screw off.

I'm sure this will piss off anyone who spent multiple hundreds of dollars obtaining their Genesis cart.

Maybe that is that guy's problem. Well, forget that. EVERY SINGLE PERSON who spent hundreds of dollars (and those who didn't as well) on it knew full well it might end up on newer consoles in the future. If they didn't, then they failed to do any research at all and fail.

I missed this the first time around. Would love to play the Genesis version, but the DC version looks nice too. I will support new releases for retro consoles any time. Something new to play on my Dreamcast would be a welcome thing indeed!

A physical dreamcast copy would be cool but as Noise noted, waiting a year for something like this isn't worth the $$ imo.

I can see this being on the Ouya eventually also.
