But nearly 9000 hours into World of Warcraft but didn't manage to beat it even once :(

Are we counting playthroughs from start to finish or games you've played for an extended perioid of time for 100 times or more? Since you listed Yar's revenge, a game with no ending (that I know of), I'm assuming the latter? If so;
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, 3, 4, Underground 1, Underground 2
Warcraft 3
Runescape
Warhammer Online
Ape Escape
World of Warcraft
Day of Defeat Source
Half Life 2 Deathmatch
Mickey Mania
Tekken 2
Tekken 5
Crash Team Racing
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
GTA Vice City+San Andreas

Most games made during the last 15 years are so long that there's no sense to beat them more than a few times, even if that. Naturally less linear games offer more replayability than ones where the storyline and all character interaction remains the same no matter how you play the game.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I can't think of a single game I've beaten from start to finish more than a few times.
My original post didn't quite define "Played over 100 times" so I should clarify.

My list includes games that I've turned on, and tried to beat in one sitting. I may have not beaten Ninja Gaiden 100 times, but I have tried to beat the game with every sitting. Continues, save states need not apply and do not count.

I've turned on MGS 100 times +, but never from the beginning to beat the game. I've done that maybe three times, and don't include continuing as an "extra play". It's still the same game I started. Blaster Master is on my list because I had to play that game over 100 times to beat it.

Sports games get a bit of a pass, as each match is unique.

But to sum it up, "playing" in this instance doesn't mean just pressing the power button on and off. You either attempted to or successfully completed the game. Throwing the controller in frustration and restarting however does count as a play.

Oh, I should add X-Men vs. SF for PS1. My 1 buddy, his 2 brothers, and I played this religiously for a couple months when I was about 12-13.

Wow, I don't think I've hit the 100 mark with any game in my life. It's probably due to my obsessive need to try new games. Very rarely do I go back to old games I've played already and although there were games I replayed tons of times in the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, 100 is a big number. I don't think I played anything quite that many times. Though it's not like I kept count

Oh, in that case nearly everything on my list except maybe two or three games don't count. 100 really is a huge number for playing a game and intending to beat it.

Yeah, I think with that criteria clarification there's a lot of lists here that need to be amended. I still can't think of anything I have attempted to beat 100 times.

I think it's a pretty weird measure, though I'm dissapointed you all haven't listed OutRun.

Oh, see I was under the impression that it was something you play for shits and giggles just to kill time.

For the record, I have probably have played Super G N' G at least 100 times in the few times I've actually beaten it.
