Re: Together Retro: Maniac Mansion / Crush Series
so I put in 3 hrs of Maniac Mansion last night -- NES version emuated on DC. I was pretty far into the game but knew I wouldn't have time to finish it in one sitting. So I went ahead and figured out how to savestate in the DC emulator. It didn't work.

I put a bid in for a physical copy of Alien Crush - the US version, which is pretty inexpensive. However, the PSN version sounds good too - but $5.99 is a tad high?

So I hit my first unwinnable situation in Maniac Mansion. Incredibly minor spoilers ahead:
I have been saving before I do most things, but I made this mistake pretty early, so I might as well just restart in this case.
*sigh* I'm glad they try and avoid situations like this in more recent Adventures.

Really? With no exceptions? I happened to use that item in the wrong spot as well and I played for like a zillion hours after that.alienjesus wrote:So I hit my first unwinnable situation in Maniac Mansion. Incredibly minor spoilers ahead:

I'm going to get MM done first since I know it fairly well already. I guess I'm gonna fire up the remake tonight. I'll be playing Crush by the weekend.dsheinem wrote:so no one else is playing a Crush game yet?

How long is MM? I played an hour or so of it and *yawn*noiseredux wrote:I'm going to get MM done first since I know it fairly well already. I guess I'm gonna fire up the remake tonight. I'll be playing Crush by the weekend.dsheinem wrote:so no one else is playing a Crush game yet?

This was my plan too. I could play the Crush games all month and never get around to MM, or I could beat the game with an ending first, then play Crush til the months out.noiseredux wrote:I'm going to get MM done first since I know it fairly well already.
