How come no one brought up the Wii U? It seems obvious to me reading the current wiki.
We are only 2 months away from the release and i'm sure it'll be a blast. The only thing i miss is GC compatibility but there will be GC stuff on the digital shop (Ikaruga?)
There are already very serious retro stuff going on like the Castlevanias (incl. Rondo), shmups, fighters etc. The pro controller looks a bit better than the 360 - but it's very similar.
I've read somewhere there will be online multiplayer for the retro tiles. They would buy me with this alone. I never wanted to buy any console made after 2000 (except the GC) but this might change the map.
360 or PS3 at this point?

A Wii U would be a good choice, but realistically if you don't preorder early, chances are you won't get one until later this holiday or even next year.. The launch library is pretty good..
