On topic...

Think I might try Clock Tower now that I've downloaded the translated ROM.

I have the original Super Famicom cartridge too by the way...

I'm going to be off on vacation the first two weeks of October, so I'm going to be limited to portable titles for the first half of the month, and since I'll be busy relaxing on the beach I'm not expecting to finish any of them  I'm not really anticipating a lot of time for games, but I will need something to play on the plane, so my horror-themed options include:

From Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded:
Ghosts'n Goblins
Ghouls'n Ghosts
Super Ghouls'n Ghosts
The King of Dragons (? It's got a lot of monsters in it, anyways.)

From EA Replay:
Haunting Starring Polterguy
Mutant League Football

After I get back I'll join the TR group in playing Maniac Mansion and nothing else, because I'll be spending most of the rest of my time watching an a$$load of horror movies

Really hoping to actually get some gaming done this month!

Tentative List of Games:

Ghost House - SMS Card Game

Super Castlevania IV - love this game but never actually beat it

Splatterhouse 2012 - PS3 (will also play games 1 & 2 - I've beaten 3 on my Genny numerous times now and really want to try the previous two).

Dead Space - PS3, still haven't gotten around to this game, but want to give it a fair try.

Silent Hill: Downpour - started this already and I'm enjoying it so far - it comes a lot closer to feeling like a survival game than Homecoming did.

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles - PSP, includes Symphony of the Night and original version of Rondo of Blood, both I which I want to play through.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - Haven't played an arcade style shooter in what feels like forever

Slap yourself, then go play this game...

Play in the dark, loud volume, highest difficulty from the get-go...

I've actually been playing nothing but "survival horror" for the last month or so. So far I've finished Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as Silent Hill 1 and 2. I'm currently playing Silent Hill 3 and plan to play these games next (not necessarily in this order):

Silent Hill 4
Silent Hill Origins
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X

...and those are just games that I currently own so I plan to look into many more. I'll definitely keep checking this thread for more suggestions.

Don't feel bad if you want to quit early with 4 or Origins!

4 was good. I daresay the plot was more interesting than 3.

But Origins... :|

Yeah I guess I'm probably going to be terribly disappointed because I'm actually looking forward to Origins and Shattered Memories. Not that I have any reason to be other than wanting to know more of the story.
