If they added a second circle pad more games would begin using it. That means almost everyone who owns the regular 3DS will need to have the circle pad add-on to play most games.
I realize they're different markets.... but I find it a little strange that they're releasing a console revision so close to the launch of the Wii U. They're going to drain all the cash from their faithful.

I have no idea. I never downloaded any DSiWare so I can't test it. They did mention all WiiWare stuff can be transferred to the Wii U so hopefully they'll do the same for the XL.

They didn't. But we are meant to think they did.
