Wow, all of those NPC character animations are great. I hope its like that in game.
Any idea what hardware this demo was running on? No mention of it in the YouTube description, unless I missed something.

It was running on a PC. Beyond that I haven't heard.

The Last of Us

Between The Last of Us, Beyond, and Watchdogs, I'm rather impressed with the original new releases being presented at E3 this year.

This looks like an even better videogame version of 28 Days Later than even Left 4 Dead was. This has all of the loneliness and despair of a good post apocalypse/zombie film that is usually missing from games that focus more on the action end of things. I like all of the simple interactions between the main character and the girl. This looks like it could also get around the curse of the "escort mission" since the girl appears to have some decent AI and will hide or fight as needed.

Here is the video from Beyond: Two Souls that I was talking about that has the impressive facial expression tech.

My favorite original IPs would have to be The Last of Us, Watch Dogs, and Project P-100.

So yeah....some heavy hitters, but overall a barren year for new IPs too. I guess we should be happy we at least got quality :)

Hey, have you played L.A. Noire or Enslaved? I think you would be mighty impressed with the facial expression tech there.

I haven't played Enslaved, but yes, LA Noire is impressive.

Weren't we saying we should go through last years and see what still hasn't come out yet? I might do that.
