Can I come over?

Seriously, as everybody has said, the lighting is fantastic. Reminds me of an old arcade I used to go to.

Seriously, I'd never want to leave that room.

Thank you so much for the compliments everyone. It feels good to see the interest! Sometimes I forget I am a professional lighting designer. I do A/V work and pride myself in video production. However I often end up doing lighting design for stages, trade shows, and gardens. Wish I could use some pro gear at home! Here are links to some of the products I used for lighting :

LED Light Bulb for $10 w/remote

These aren't that bright but they can color up a dark corner real nice. Decent color temperature on some colors.

16ft reel of color changing LED's with kit

With the 16ft reel you can add breaks in the reel to skip area. There are little dimmers and other items you can add in line. These are awes

Excellent job - very clean lines all-around.

I really like the chairs you've chosen for your cabs.

Your GEN collection looks nice - usually they don't, the GEN art doesn't lend itself to much uniformity, but you've done nice spacing - you def have an eye for clean lines.

On the CPS2 18-1, how does it play? I've heard good and bad, but so many purists knock it because, well, it isn't pure per se, but I just want to really know if it plays well or not...any slowdown, any cut outs mid-game, and sound issues?

Your layout has motivated me to ask my wife to let me move our DVD's to a different area so I can actually see my games. I have some nice custom dedicated shelving - but it is tucked away in a back area and I don't love it.

Again, great job.

Right on thanks, wish I had half your CPS2 collection I wouldn't need the 18-1 :)

I think the first batch of 18-1 got the board a bad name. Although it may not be the best for an arcade of public space its great for a player. I had to wire up the coin return to credit the machine when depressed. You have to credit up to select a game, from there the games options can be on free play. Compared to the Neo-Geo 1xx-1 this is amazing though. Great deal for a player who just wants real hardware.

Playability :
All games run perfectly and never drop frames. All gameplay is correct for the region version of each title. I am a very good Puzzle Fighter player and that game is flawless. Super Turbo plays exactly like my legit CPS-2 version, except for being impossibly hard on CPU due to ASIA region. Giga Wing seems dead on, I am currently trying to 1CC it!

Graphics :
Flawless as far as I can tell. No missing sprites, drop out, or flicker, everything simply looks proper.

Sound :
I have an original Qsound amp. Intro's and music all sound perfect There is only one problem I've found in all the games. On Hyper SF2 there are no voices for any character version previous to Super Street Fighter 2. What I mean is if you pick World Warrior Ryu he won't have voice sound fx. This kind of sucks, and is why I have a legit board.
