Why is every one acting as if the QD didnt exist?
If the modern "gaming" phones actually released games in physical form like this, I might actually consider buying one. The funny thing is that even though the modern phones are much more advanced, they are still very outdated in terms of actual gameplay when compared to the N Gage. The N Gage had real RPGs, 3D games etc and all in all the games were aimed at actual gamers and were "on par" with the current generation of gaming (taking in consideration that it was a handheld), while modern super phones mostly have flash/Facebook-level simple Angry Birds-esque games aimed at people who normally dont play video games.
Isn't the N Gage more powerful than GBA? Imagine if it was released as the QD from the start with the music, video and other capabilities from the inferioir first model that were later on removed. It would've been the Dreamcast of handhelds. Phone, mp3 player, video player, online multiplayer (!) and (almost) PS1-level hardware all in the same portable package back in 2003.
Besides ability to play online and technically impressive games for a handheld (Rayman 3, Tomb Raider, Tony Hawk, Call of Duty, FPS games), there was even a MMORPG for the N Gage! The game library for N Gage is surprisingly good actually, it might surprise many people. It's quite often the case with failed consoles like 32X.

Phones have become something of a fashion statement these days.
People looking for a fashion statment arent exactly the target audience of a device like this so it doesn't really matter.
