Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I believe Toei has the rights back to distribute Sailor Moon internationally. Funimation at one time talked about doing a recut/redub of the whole thing. Never happened obviously...

That is a bummer about Yu Yu

I know Toei has the rights to distribute it, but as of right now, at least as far as I know, it hasn't been re-licensed in the US. And I remember the Funimation survey, but I don't ever remember them releasing the results for that. Bummer too, since I'd really like to be able to watch the final season on something other than my computer :?

I'm just pissed I missed the whole thing, as that was one of my favorite lineups to watch. EVER. I think Toonami first started when I was like 14 or 15.

Wikipedia says that Toonami officially started in 1997, but a good chunk of what they showed last night weren't included until 2000.

Pretty sure I started watching it around 97, because I remember watching a lot of Thundercats and Jonny Quest (but then, I watched a lot of Cartoon Network in general around then). I think I stopped watching during the day about the time Naruto showed up. Then I watched it at night till it went off the air.

I watch everything subbed so it's pretty much the same for me. Honestly, I don't even open the anime I buy anymore, haha. I just download the Blu Ray rips and stuff sits on the shelf still sealed.

I'm crazy.

I don't even have the option to do that with Season 5. They never released it over here. My shelf is incomplete :(

I wonder if anyone actually got this recorded? I didn't bother watching Adult Swim last night since I didn't think anything of it. Now I'm kicking myself after reading about all this amazing news for the night of Toonami. Just the mere thought of it seems like nostalgia bliss.
