I loathe you so much right now. That is right at the amount I am willing to pay for that title.chupon wrote:Waku Waku 7 MVS - $90 (still waiting on this one to arrive from the UK)

Re: How much do you pay for retro games
I mainly collect for the Mega Drive and Master System at the moment, which is handy since most games you'll want to play will be well under $20 shipped. My maximum for a game is $50, and it should definately be complete for that. I got a complete Probotector for well under that simply by waiting for the right auction and snaking it right from under some poor fool's nose.
Splatterhouse 2 cost me just over $50.00 shipped, and that was admittedly an accident, it is the most expensive Mega Drive game I've bought yet (I actually don't like it after all but I don't want to sell it for a loss so there it sits). My most recent purchase was Rainbow Islands for MS, cart only for around $11.00 shipped, an impulse buy but you could do worse. Like many here, I have a crazy backlog which I don't have the time to get to, so I have eased up a bit now, just occasionly buying a fun 2 player game that I'll be able to convince someone to play with me. (Now that I think about it, that could be a lie, since I'm also waiting for General Chaos and Thunder Force 3 to arrive, damn slow international postage!)

Re: How much do you pay for retro games
It depends on how much interest I have in the game. I rarely sell/trade games in my collection so I like to be very careful when spending money on retro games going over $30. I spent over $100+ on Snatcher for Sega CD and Steel Battalion on Xbox in recent years awhile ago not counting my Neo-Geo arcade cabinet purchase ($500) but have no regrets paying the price since I've enjoyed them and got great value from them.
Gaming is an expensive hobby but it's always exciting finding a new retro gem.

Re: How much do you pay for retro games
I am really hating on the fact that snes games are so expensive. I hate that I need to save every 2 to 3 weeks to buy a 30-60.00 game. Like I said I try to buy a game worth 20.00 or so thru ebay every week or other week but I havent found anything. Between bills and family it's hard to spend 60.00 for a game. When I see that kind of money I think of gas in my car
