So far I've played...

Persona - awful dialog, first person dungeons very same-y so kinda hard to navigate. I've tried this game a few times, with the last time being the furthest I've gotten in it. I don't like the town navigation tho. I keep getting lost.
Persona 2 (Eternal Punishment) - really lousy translation, terrible characters.... I couldn't get into it.
Nocturne - only played a small bit of it. Liked it so far, but I couldn't play further b/c I was in the middle of another game and just wanted to get a taste for it. I kinda don't have the time for long ass, pain in the ass games like this right now tho.
Devil Summoner - now this game fuckin rocks! Love it, seriously.
Persona 3 FES - awful. unlike some of the other posters on here, I wish the game had been all about building S.Links and nothing about dungeon crawling. Let me put it this way: in Japan they have video games where you play rock-paper-scissors against anime girls. If you win, they get naked. now imagine that but they don't get naked, and you have to play it over and over and over again every level, for fifty floors, and it is made to resemble a Dragon Warrior game, but it isn't. Just rock-paper-scissors. Over and over again. Yeah, I got really bored with the dungeon crawling. I hated that the game kept stealing my time being the mack daddy and shit to make me go dungeon crawling. (And then the game did some real bullshit by pushing a story-specific romance at me when I was trying to get with another girl at school instead.) And also, I don't think you can get any of the girls naked, so what's the point of the dating sim aspect either? Man, really, overall this game was just bullshit. Go play Ar Tonelico instead.
Devil Survivor - it's an SRPG. I can't tell if I like it or hate it. It's actually fun and has an interesting storyline, but there's also that creeping dread I get when playing these games. "Am I doing this right? Am I fucking up some path by doing this? Do I have the right demons? Should I be fusing these guys to get this other guy, or is the guy I have now better? WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING OH GOD I DON'T WANT TO USE A WALKTHRU BUT I DON'T WANT TO FUCK THIS UP!!!!" XD Yeah. Thankfully, I don't get any real panic attacks from this one the way some of the others kinda do, but I already know that choices I'm making are going to affect which ending I get. I seem to usually end up getting the worst endings too. (In survival horror games and such; I generally don't have to worry about that when playing RPGs.)

I've also played a bit of the original Japanese-exclusive games. They are very much like Persona 1 & 2. First-person dungeon crawlers with demon summoning. Haven't played any of them very far tho.
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games
