I'm sorry.. but the Wii is just a piece of crap.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

And you use the PS3 and 360 with the cables that came with the consoles? They don't look too good on an LCD with composite cables. Look great with Component or HDMI. Or also VGA for the 360.

That's hunky dory and all, but if your older CRT supports the inputs, go with the maximum native resolution your console will output.

::EDIT:: What Erik said. :)

HDTVs are quite unforgiving when it comes to video signal quality. I wasn't happy with how my games looked on it until I started mucking about with RGB.

I didn't want to do a two TV setup anymore.

Although I don't play it much I really like my Wii. I've got it hooked to my projector and it looks great at 480p thrown up on the wall. PS3 looks even better of course at 720p.

I'll tell you what don't look so awesome but are still totally playable, and those are my CDX and Saturn on a 90inch screen lol

I found my Wii to be SUPER forgiving as far as hooking up to stuff. Before I got my new receiver with tons of inputs and HDMI output to the projector I had the Wii hooked up via component cables to one of those component to VGA dongles and plugged into the VGA port. I couldn't believe it worked. Then again, apparently those component to VGA dongles are pretty much meant for use with projectors and not TVs.

Oh yes! I do have these on HDMI, that's my one exception.

I'm rocking a two TV set-up right now. If I can make the space in this game room (that is, if my wife allows me to move the bed out of here and into another room which is a whole 'nother story haha) than I may set up a third TV solely for my Commodore 64.

Bah, I've got a FIVE tv setup.

One for the GC with a GB player in the bedroom.
One for the GC with a GB player in the living room. (for four swords)
One for the N64, Wii, NES, and GC with a GB player (again) in the living room.
One for regular sega saturn games in the basement.
One for TATE sega saturn games in the basement.

And I still don't have an HDTV.

Wait, wait, I didn't include my C64 monitor in the corner!

FIVE!

::EDIT:: OK, seven if including the 20" in the garage I use for modding projects/testing, etc, and the upstairs LED....which seldom gets used for gaming.

I'm really not bragging. I know Luke wouldn't approve of this post.

Waaiit, so monitors count now?

In that case I've got 5 tvs/monitors just in the living area of the basement. 11 or 12 if you want to count displays that aren't in regular use down there. They're all CRTs too.

EDIT:
Does an oscilloscope count? 13...
