played last night too. I still cannot beat that game. Haha.

I also played it briefly on Friday. What was weird was that for the first time, I found Jason within the first five minutes. Saved two camp houses, and then there he was, in the middle camp house near the lake in the middle of the map. Beat him to the point where he ran off, than as always, I got lost in the woods and turned the game off.

people hate on LJN, but the NES Friday the 13th game has some incredible music. Like the music that plays when in a cabin - OMG. I've always thought the game itself was really interesting too. The transition from day to night; the first person cabins; Jason stalking you throughout the map... I played a ton of it when I was younger. (Though I think the Nightmare On Elm Street game is the better of the two).

here's some thoughts on stuff to play today besides the NES game...

Friday The 13th (C64)

I played this once, many years ago now. I think it confused me at the time. I'd like to check it out again.

Splatterhouse series

I mean, Rick was clearly inspired (visually) by Jason. And there's lots of cool games if you want an excuse to play them today. Wanpaku Graffiti is super fun. There's also a semi-spinoff called The Splatter Master that was a budget game in Japan on PS2. I haven't played that one.

Mortal Kombat X

The dude Jason Voorhees was one of many horror movie DLC add-ons for MKX. I'm still annoyed the WB stiffed PC gamers for the 2nd round of characters though. I mean, I can play as Predator but not a Xenomorph. :?

I know there are definitely other games that feature Jason look-alike cameos...

My girlfriend's birthday.

Unfortunately she hates horror movies.
