I also knew about those so called go-bots. Saw them a few years ago and thought nothing of it.

I collect both of them.

Had lots of them when I was a kid. Still have some now. Few years ago some asshole stole a sizable amount of my transformers.

well these are some of my transformers...... dont hate!

yah, you're right. its quite dusty.

I got my vehicle voltron piece by piece! Took me a few years tho. They are mixed. both Dairugger and US pieces. The rubber wheels are mostly there but they are falling apart, some dont connect right for being old and used, but its all one piece.

Now If only I had the hands!

I didn't like Go-Bots for one main reason: they were far too simplistic. They took like four steps to transform and looked stupid in robot form.

NOSTALGIA TRIP!!!

I remember being five or six and going to Woolworth and Sprouse-Reitz to see original gobots at the stores there.

that was a looong time ago.

I also remember seeing G1 transformers at Kmart. Those were more expensive.

Back in the day too, you could find transformers at flemarkets for less than a buck!

My brother and I would come home every week from the fleamarkets with 4 or 5 different transformers. I think I pretty much owned every transformer at one time.

Yes, me too. The only one I distinctly remember not having was Megatron. I have no idea why I didn't try harder to get him. I just used Shockwave as my Decepticon leader. He was basically second in command in the show anyway, as Megatron left him in charge at Cybertron. Of course, once I acquired Galvatron, he assume command.

I quit Transformers during the time of the Headmasters. The market was getting flooded and it was hard for me to keep up. Also, the toys had went from being made of die cast metal and resembling real vehicles to plastic and looking like random objects.

VERY impressive dude! I wish I had all of my 80s toys. I manged to salvage a few of my Transformers though. I collected those reissues that Toys R Us was releasing like 10 years ago for G1 toys from the 80s. I just don't recall Transformers being so freaking expensive. I think Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus cost me like $49.99 each and the rest of the characters they release were ranged from $29.99 to $34.99. I'd like to look to see what they cost in the 80s just for shits and giggles.

I loved Go Bots too. Yeah they weren't as bad ass as the Transformers but they were still cool in both toys and cartoons. 8)
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I moved out of my mom's house, but left all of my toys behind. Like I said, I had pretty much every first generation Transformer. I had tons of original Star Wars stuff, and a modest GI Joe collection.

My mom gave me about 3 days notice that she was moving and I had to get my stuff. At the time I was living with a friend and literally only had a small closet to hold my clothes and some other things. I went to my mom's house and grabbed my bed and a few other things, but I had no space for anything else. The new owners were moving in on the same day. I noticed they had some young children.

I told them they could keep all of my toys.

I left everything behind. About a year later I did some quick math based on Ebay and realized that I had left behind at least $1500 in Transformers alone.
