Have you ever written a letter to a gaming/software company?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I sent mail to Sega complaining about how they changed Phantasy Star Universe's business model from monthly subscription to pay to win.

I was banned from Dungeon Fighter Online for being too good, and I sent mails to all of the higher ups in Nexon. They unbanned me.

Later on, I received an email from a Nexon employee, asking me for any suggestions on how to improve the game. I replied and asked them to remove the daily playtime restriction, and they actually did remove it a few months later! 0_0

I've long since quit Dungeon Fighter Online because I couldn't tolerate playing a pay to win game any longer.

Heh. You know you're good when people assume you have to be cheating. 8)

haha speaking of cheating i really hate how most players will call you out in fightings game for using a certain move. I once played this kid in street fighter who complained that sweeping is cheap because i used it too often.
I told him learn to block or pay the price and he got mad and called the game stupid lol.

I had a lot of contact with LucasArts back in the day regarding my Day of the Tentacle CD-ROM. Our family computer was just a little too advanced for the version we'd bought, so although it would play, there was a lot of frustrating glitching and freezing. I remember speaking to a representative on the phone about the issue; I couldn't have been more than twelve, but she spent a lot of time with me and treated me like a grown-up. And she was funny. The conversation was natural and obviously unscripted. Then the company sent us boot disks and all kinds of stuff free of charge (and on more than one occasion!) in an attempt to help.

I also sent an e-mail to LucasArts asking for a hint when I was stuck, puzzle-wise, in this game. I begged them to only give me the teeniest, tiniest nudge possible to push me in the right direction because I didn't want the answer outright. They really listened to this. The e-mail response I received was totally uncanned and absolutely charming, filled with stuff like "Take a good look around the room. Can you find anything you might be able to use with someone else in this room, and can't take outside with you?" It was also signed by a particular representative who would continue to work with me personally if I needed further assistance.

I solved the puzzle just before I received that hint e-mail, but I wrote back and told that representative how great he/she was for taking my request so seriously.

I remember my brother getting angry with me while playing Eternal Champions back in the day.

No doubt.

Oh, and Margaret wanted me to ask you if you are there. She said you'd understand.
I am here, and Margaret should trust in herself to make the right decision. She will understand.

I posted some of my correspondence with Nintendo as a kid.

http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 15&t=34257

The reason I did in a separate thread and not here was because I didn't want to take up an obscene amount of space on this thread. Of course, if AznKhmerBoi and the mods agree to merge the two threads, I'm completely fine with that. I just didn't want to post a response that took up nearly the entire page..

Man this is the worst  . I'm not at all a great fighting game player, but I know better than to accuse people of being 'cheap' when I lose. They're simply better and that's all there is to it.
