Boogerman is disgusting. I have zero desire to play that game.

Earthworm Jim is hilarious. The games are a bit clunky but I enjoyed playing them.

Earthworm Jim takes a piss in the Special Editions if you don't move for awhile.
Second boss takes your pants off. Farting noises all over Heck.
Final stages are Buttville.
Toilets are teleporters.
etc.

I think the potty humor is pretty even in both.

Can I vote for Professor Monkey-for-a-Head? He's my favorite villain.

Boogerman. I had a lot of fun with that game back in the day. EWJ is just frustrating to play, especially the first one, which had some of the worst level design of all time. The later levels in the game are basically DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING OR YOU'LL DIE - and those things are pretty ambiguous with strange hit boxes.

Yes. Very yes. The first time I played EWJ2 I just stood around for a while, listening to Anything But Tangerines.

I would have done the same thing again in Lorenzen's Soil if it hadn't had a timer. Thankfully that second track came back for an encore!

By the way, anybody have a clue as to why I thought the level was called "Lorenzo's Soil" until I did a search for it?

Pretty much how I feel, a character named after boogers has zero appeal to me. I don't love toilet humor. I don't mind a little bit of it, but it's too blatant with Boogerman. I never played the game and have no intention of ever doing so

The EWJ games are classic to me and present some of my fondest 16-bit memories. I loved the level designs. There were frustrating parts, but each level was fresh and exciting. You don't find many modern games with that amount of variety. Plus, I had the original EWJ down to a science. I could go through the whole game on one life back then

And the best part is that these games had so many various ports, the music is all over the place on each system and it's just awesome hearing the various renditions.

Funny to say but for EWJ1, I prefer the Genesis version.
For EWJ2, I prefer the SNES version.

But I think the Saturn/PC version of EWJ2 has the best version of "Anything But Tangerines", heh.

Probably a vague awareness of this movie:

Tough call. I'd have to give the edge to Earthworm Jim I guess.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I'd say it's almost 50/50 with me. Maybe 49% Boogerman and 51% EWJ. My brothers and I played Boogerman and laughed so hard. And it wasnt that hard so we actually kept playing. Earthworm Jim was just as fun but Boogerman stands out more in my memory. Over time I'd go back to EWJ more cause it was a better game. And I really like the Jim action figure.
