Well hello super old thread :)

A couple people have youtubed this tutorial. Neither felt any need to give me any credit, but such is life. Glad people are still upgrading their stunners.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Hi. Great God-given talent. I was wondering if you could use a spare Dreamcast cable (from a broken Dreamcast controller) and rewire it to the Sega Saturn light gun so you could use the Saturn light gun on the Dreamcast? If that's possible, what's the pinout of the Saturn Light gun and which wire should it be rewired on the Dreamcast cable? It would be ok if there are not directional button, coz' games like House of the Dead 2 on the Dreamcast could be controlled with another Dreamcast controller.

Thank you. God bless, Rev. 21:4

Nope, that isn't possible. Saturn and Dreamcast controllers communicate with their consoles in different ways. There's no way to simply connect one to the other. Adapters exist that will allow you to use Saturn controllers on a Dreamcast. However, I have no idea if they'd work for light guns and they're not cheap.
