Yeah Hellsing really made vampires out to be monsters and gave them different levels of intimidation and darkness. I've always liked the idea of Vampires and the darker portrayals of them, especially when it involves old dark powers and secrets. Nosferatu was one of my top 10 favorite movies for many years.dunpeal2064 wrote:You need to watch some Hellsing!Gamerforlife wrote:The only vampires in fiction I've ever liked are the ones in Buffy
So...do you think zombies are a fad already?

Yeah, I wasn't counting anime. They have some awesome vamps. I really liked the ones in Vampire D: Bloodlust and Blood: The Last Vampire. Supernatural has an anime now too and I wouldn't be surprised to see a cool vamp in that, since the tv show on CW made them out to be monsters, while portraying one that actually tried to fight her primal nature and not kill humans. They spent a whole episode making fun of Twilight tooCzernobog wrote:Yeah Hellsing really made vampires out to be monsters and gave them different levels of intimidation and darkness. Planet Terror was excellent, but they probably mean From Dusk til Dawn, which both Quentin and Rodriguez worked onnoiseredux wrote:I disagree. George Clooney's first acting role too I believe, before he was a star

I noticed my mom had this on her Kindle.....for shame mom, but im sure my brother had something to do with this.o.pwuaioc wrote:Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2009) was when this fad went too far, in my opinion.
Even around my little podunk country ass town people have gone zombie crazy in the past couple of years. If something gets that popular here, then yes its only a fad and will pass soon enough.
Surely this will happen eventually:

I thought he was a star by the end of his role in Roseanne and the beginning of his role in ER. Either way, he was working on Dusk right at the same time he was working on Batman:With Nipples.Gamerforlife wrote:

I watched HARVEY, again, and it is still in the top 2 of my favorite movies of all time. When you feel that the world is against you, there's something calming about watching a movie where the main character thinks the entire world is beautiful, and rooting for you.
The line "Everyday is a beautiful day" still makes me smile.

I have that book in my office next to "Groucho and Me" and "The Gentle Art of Verbal Self Defense". It's a conversation starter.o.pwuaioc wrote:Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2009) was when this fad went too far, in my opinion.

NO I hate monkeys!Luke wrote:I'm hoping with Disney's Chimpanzee and the revival of the POTApe movies, monkeys will replace the zombie fad that replaced the vampire fad.

Well, I was remembering the commentary when I watched From Dusk til Dawn and they were saying how they had given him his role in the movie before he had hit it bignoiseredux wrote:what do you mean? I could have sworn they said that.
