I recommend the Street Fighter Anniversary Edition Arcade Stick (PS2 & Xbox). It works great and can be used on two different systems!!ZenErik wrote:Anyone have PS2 stick recommendations? My budget is up to $200. I am thinking about the Arcana Heart 2 stick.

Re: Arcade Sticks
These two are probably the best commercially available arcade sticks for the PS1 or PS2:ZenErik wrote:Anyone have PS2 stick recommendations? My budget is up to $200. I am thinking about the Arcana Heart 2 stick.

They are easy to mod. The HRAP 2 SA comes with all Sanwa parts pre-installed. The standard HRAPs come with a Sanwa JLF (stick) and Hori buttons that can be easily swapped out for Sanwa and Seimitsu brands. It should not be difficult to find at least a standard HRAP for under $200. I believe the Arcana Heart and Arcana Heart 2 are HRAP2s. I believe they only come with a Sanwa style mounting bracket, however. Meaning it would be impossible to swap in a Seimitsu... though I have heard that Seimitsu is about to release a version of the LS 32 that has a Sanwa compatible bracket.
Another excellent option is the Namco stick for the PS1 that was released around 1996. Though they are 15 years old, they are surprisingly tough and well built. They are worth the $100+ they command.

Oh what's that??? I happen to have a video about both models???

this interests me, as I read that Seimitsus are better for dragonpunches, and I have been considering swapping in one into my HRAP 2, I shall wait to see if this bracket thingy happenswip3outguy7 wrote:though I have heard that Seimitsu is about to release a version of the LS 32 that has a Sanwa compatible bracket.

Yeah, your HRAP 2 should have a JLF Sanwa stick.baphomet_irl wrote:I have a HRAP 2 - is the stick on that Sanwa too?Lodestar wrote:HRAP3. I got mine for 60 on sale, it comes with a Sanwa stick and Hori buttons. Compatible with PS3 and PC.
I love my HRAP - I also have an Agetec DC Stick ( with Sanwa parts) - they're great too, but are a little harder to configure for emus on a PC...
That's a strange rumor. DPs should be mad easy on either stick, especially if they have square gates.this interests me, as I read that Seimitsus are better for dragonpunches, and I have been considering swapping in one into my HRAP 2, I shall wait to see if this bracket thingy happens

well it must be just that I'm utterly useless then haha - I can do fireball movements perfectly everytime, but dragonpunches nah - on a Saturn pad though pretty much everytime, well untill my thumb blisters too much :pLodestar wrote: That's a strange rumor. It looks like the model number for the new stick will be LS 58.baphomet_irl wrote:this interests me, as I read that Seimitsus are better for dragonpunches, and I have been considering swapping in one into my HRAP 2, I shall wait to see if this bracket thingy happenswip3outguy7 wrote:though I have heard that Seimitsu is about to release a version of the LS 32 that has a Sanwa compatible bracket.
