Oh man, that does look good. Sonic's new deeper voice is for some reason even more annoying to me though...

Really? That's a shame.

I love the new voice. Roger Craig Smith is my favorite Sonic voice actor.

Kate Higgins is fantastic as Tails too.

I played Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing for the PC today.

It's a PC game but it really feels like a port of the Xbox 360 version. The entire game absolutely screams console, even to the point of having to use an on-screen keyboard to enter your name! You are forced to use an Xbox 360 controller, otherwise you can't have analog steering. There is also no way to change your controls or vibration settings. If you want to play split screen multiplayer, you need more Xbox 360 controllers.

The Xbox 360 controller does work fine though, so it's not so bad I guess. Thankfully I already have a few here, even though I never bought a 360 console. They are decent PC controllers.

The graphics are fantastic. There are settings to change graphic level and resolution, and everything runs perfectly on max settings 1920X1200 for me, so I'm very happy. I almost never play anything current gen, so this is mind blowing for me.

The sound is great too. It supports 5.1 audio.

The game did not come with a manual at all! I took off the plastic seal myself and there was no manual to be found. I looked through the PC files and there is no digital manual either. This is some bullshit. I wanted to look up things like the difference between characters or what each item does.

Oh, and you need to have the DVD in the disc drive in order to run the game. I'm OK with this. It's much better than some other forms of DRM.

So overall, it could have been better if it was less like a console game and more like a proper PC game, but it's not so bad. If Sonic Generations PC version ends up being like this, I'll probably buy it.

Still sounds better than the Outrun 2006 port, the only setting in the game was the option to change your screen resolution.

I'll pick it up once I get my gaming PC I guess. The PC doesn't have much of a selection of kart racers so it's nice to get a decent one. I wonder if it will work with the Logitech DFGT, that would be awesome.

I've gotten used to the fact that 30% of new PC games are lazy 360 ports. Complete with incorrect button prompts.

You could use keyboard mapping software for your Logitech controller, but it wouldn't have analog control for steering, gas and break. If you could figure out a way to make the game think you were using an Xbox 360 controller, that'd be the only way I can think of.

Was that option even there? I remember playing in the laughably low resolution just because I couldn't find the settings to change and was too lazy to find the right file and change it manually.

Yes it was, but it only supported 4:3 IIRC.
