It has potential, but Breaking Bad has spoiled my TV expectations way too much.

That is a joke right? Cause I'm not seeing any blue text...
In My Younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since.
"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in thi world haven't had the advantages that you've had."
"He didn't say any more, but we've always been unusually communicative in a reserved way, and I understood that he meant a great deal more than that. In consequence, I'm inclined to reserve all judgments, a habit that has opened up many curious natures to me and also made me the victim of not a few veteran bores. The abnormal mind is quick to detect and attach itself to this quality when it appears in a normal person, and so it came about that in college I was unjustly accused of being a politician, because I was privy to the secret griefs of wild, unknown men. Most of the confidences were unsought-frequently I have feigned sleep, preoccupation, or a hostile levity when I realized by some unmistakable sign that an intimate revelation was quivering on the horizon;

I walked in on my brother watching the pilot, saw the scenery, and asked why he was watching Jurassic Park. I had no idea there were dinosaurs and it was a Steven Spielberg project. Might give it a watch.

Episode 2 was kind of boring. I could care less about the kids romantic relationships and killer birds just don't seem all that exciting.

The preview for next week's episode looked good, though.

I just checked out the first episode. You would think almost 20 years after Jurassic Park they'd be able to make more realistic looking dinos (as in less obvious they are CGI)....

I just watched episode 3 and you know what I think the show's biggest problem is? The characters suck. There's not a single one I like. The kids are annoying in exactly the way you'd expect teen characters to be annoying. Jim Shannon is your typical alpha male with every annoying trope and cliche that entails. His wife is just....boring, and you wonder why a genius like her is in love with a big dope whose only useful skill is punching people and shooting things. The commander is kind of cool, but really, how hard was it for them to come up with that character? Hey, Nick Fury is kind of cool right? Let's just have him in our show and call him something else. I like Malcolm too, but so far he is just there to be punched by Jim a lot it seems and be Jim's sidekick. I would follow a show with a smart, sensible guy like Malcolm as the main character instead the dumb jock that is Jim Shannon. I hate characters like him

Terra Nova has HORRIBLE characters and if you can't get invested in a show's characters, then it has no chance of being a great show. The sad thing is, I can see the show doing well with a mainstream crowd that likes cliche characters and Michael Bay movies
