I cannot believe some id'git paid you a hundred dollars for an effin' power strip.

Sure, it's cool, but for that money one could buy a dozen power strips.

Yeah $2-5 thrift shop ones vs this... A hard sell IMO.

A used one from a thrift store is only going to be good as a plug multiplier. The surge protection bit inside wears out over time.

One can find a new power strip for seven or eight dollars.

Frankly, I'm skeptical about most of the "surge protectors" on the market today. I guess that's another conversation for another time.
