I usually pre-order all my games on Amazon or GameStop but it depends on the bonus/extra content included. If it's a nice figurine/statue or soundtrack I'll usually pick it up but if it's a weapon skin or gun then I will likely not be tempted.

My opinion of pre-ordering depends on what I'm pre-ordering.

I'm totally fine with pre-orders for DVDs, once I know what's going to be on the disc. I've done it multiple times, and I have the Adventure Time DVD on pre-order from Amazon right now.

I'm much, much stingier with pre-orders for video games. So many games that every though would rock have come out and been disappointments. I only pre-order if the game already came out in a different region and got good scores there, and there's a bonus for pre-ordering. So far, the only game I've ever pre-ordered is New Super Mario Bros. Wii from Wal-Mart, because anyone who pre-ordered got $10 off.
