Toy Story is a ripoff of Homeward Bound.

Anyway, you guys didn't read close enough. This isn't a Pixar movie. It's Disney on its own trying to copy Pixar.

It's not Pixar? Well then, this movie has less potential than before.

And let's say, just for the sake of argument, that Pixar actually does just steal an idea and polish it to a mirror shine. Who says that's a bad thing? That's been Blizzard's whole business model since they stopped making SNES games.

My interest is definitely piqued, although I now have a slight fear that this movie will try to carry itself entirely off of somewhat ham-fisted cameos and references.

Your fear is with merit. The jokes didn't make me laugh a bit, but it does look gorgeous. It is a short teaser, and I can't see the Pixar folks not making something memorable with this cast.

Time will tell, but they already have my money; I'm going opening day for sure.

I'd probably watch it for the ham-fisted cameos and references if that was the case too...
