I have not played many but plan to though. Any recommendations as to what modern Sonic games are cool?

You should try Sonic Colors
Games that are pure bliss:icemanfan44 wrote:Any recommendations as to what modern Sonic games are cool?
Just a point of curiosity, but Contra: ReBirth, Contra: Hard Corps, and the Famicom version of the original Contra all have cut scenes and narrative. Thankfully these are short, to the point, and devoid of attempts at character development or depth, and do not detract from the games.Anayo wrote:I think if you tried to add cut scenes and a narrative to a game like that you'd end up with an eyeroll inducing turd that takes itself too seriously.

Sonic Rush
Sonic Colors (Wii)
Sonic Colors (DS)
^Make sure to play both versions of Colors, as they are completely different games, and both are fantastic!

Sonic Adventure / Sonic Adventure DX
Sonic Adventure 2 / Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
Sonic Advance
Sonic Advance 2
Sonic Advance 3
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1

I think so too, but it's often praised and recommended by other Sonic fans. There's a reason I worded the second category the way I did. It's not a personal recommendation so much as something he might want to check out, since a lot of Sonic fans seem to like it.BoringSupreez wrote:You've got to be kidding about Sonic 4. That one had so many problems.

I do like most of them, but I don't consider myself the foremost authority on Sonic games. Most of the games on the second list are otherwise great games that nevertheless have some irritatingly bad flaws, or games that are decent all the way through but never amazing.BoringSupreez wrote:I thought you meant you liked all the games you mentioned, although others might not. Never mind, then.
