Apparently it won't be coming to the USA anyway. That sounds more like Nintendo now.

Gotta say, I love the idea of calling it the Wii Minus.

Anyway, I won't miss it really. Like Inazuma said, its clearly not meant for me.

Though the redesign in itself is very plain. Physically, nothing changed but the orientation of the Wii logo on the front. They could have done something more with that.

On a side note, those Hori controllers Sevin posted are awesome. Japan gets all the cool controllers...

The Wii U is simpler, smaller, and has rounded edges.

lol. Honest to god dude, I hadn't noticed that they had changed that. I was trying to make out WHAT they had changed and I couldn't find it.

The different orientation of the logo makes this a collectible if you ask me....

And Inazuma the thing will come with 1 controller. So calling it family edition is even MORE pointless now.

It's basically the same as a regular Wii but the logo has been turned.

You act like families of one aren't families or something.

Hell, the only reason I noticed it is because my Wii is a few feet away. I compared them.

I bet you're right though. In a few years, collectors will be warning each other about it.

"When you buy a Wii, make sure you get the one with logo facing up! That's the good one!"

If the box says Family Edition and it clearly shows pictures of families playing together with multiple controllers, people are going to logically assume that it comes with more than one controller.

You know what, I just don't give a fuck anymore. The video game industry will continue to get worse. The whole idea of selling a Gamecube that doesn't play Gamecube games is stupid to begin with. Yes, I called the Wii a Gamecube. It's a Gamcube with an inferior controller.

The video game industry has gotten too big, too fast. The explosion of the casual market, along with the extremely high cost of making games with cutting edge technology, has had a very noticeable negative effect.

Today's games look amazing and millions of people play them, but they just aren't as good or challenging or fun as games used to be. Shining Force III on the Saturn is a great example of the kind of game I want more of.
