It sure looks that way doesn't it?

I'd bet it was intentional (an inspiration at the very least), and much easier to get away with than say, mimicking Link.

that's what I was thinking. Like if we're going to make a tribute to Zelda games, let's reference a tribute to Zelda games. Haha.

So to keep this on topic a little (like anyone really cares) here is a list of the games I have participated in (like anyone really cares). Actually, the first one I participated in was this January, but I've played some games before outside of TR, and I joined in discussion of those, so I'll include them too. Blue are games I played for TR, Green games I joined discussion for and red games I have played outside of TR.

2008:

Apr - Ristar/Kid Icarus
Jun - Marble Madness
Sep - Jet Grind Radio
Dec - NiGHTS Into Dreams/Christmas NiGHTS

2009:

Jun - Punch-Out!!

2010:

Jul - Ecco the Dolphin
Nov - Wonder Boy/Adventure Island

2011:

Jan - Riviera: The Promised Land
Feb - King of Fighters 98
Apr - Deja Vu
Jun - Gradius III & Parodius
Jul - Rayman

I'd second that. I love this game.

I love Galaga. :D

Incidentally, I was at Providence airport and saw a Galaga cab, but it turned out to be Space Invaders.

I only joined for Zoop and Gradius III, but I'll be joining again for Shining Force.
