OK, Catherine looks great - no more boners!

Skyrim looks like the best pick from your choices, imho.

I say save your tokens for one of the following:

-Skyward Sword

-Diablo 3

-or grab CIV V right now!

Also, what J T said.

Oh, good point. This plus what lisalover said about supporting niche titles has made me change my mind to Catherine. Skyrim is going to be phenomenol, but Catherine needs love from consumers to match the love it's getting from critics.

I'm excited about Arkham City too. I want to wait and see which version is best though and if someone pulls that Joker exclusive stuff again. This is another reason why I don't do pre-orders. I want to know what's what before I commit to buying something

As for your question on the difficulty of Catherine, MrEco; the game is certainly hard, there is no denying that. But, the game is never unfair in its difficulty. There are very, very few times when I have had an issue with Catherine's difficulty that was the fault of the game itself. I could probably count them all on one hand. You also don't lose too much progress when you die, so its difficulty is akin to games like Super Meat boy or VVVVVV in that the game is challenging, but you generally start back very close to the point where you died so you can try again without having to play through long stretches of game.

To add to my other post, you should get Catherine because it is a game that will hold value just because its made from Atlus. If you end up hating it you could probably resell it for near market value and not some cheap $15-20 bargain bin game.

A very good point.

Also, LisaLover reminds me that I still haven't beaten Dragon Age and that combined with my pre-order of Darks Souls I don't think I need another open world Tolkien-esque RPG. So Skyrim is definitely a no.

This (And many other like-minded replies) has made me realize that Catherine may possibly not be easy to find after too long a while. Final Fantasy XIII-2 on the other hand, will semi-quickly drop down into the $20 to $30 range and have plenty excess copies for a long while. So Final Fantasy XIII-2 is also a no.

Catherine wins! Thanks for all the help everybody.

Actually, I vote Catherine now, because I did not know it was an Atlus game. I must get it now. I will still personally get Skyrim though, because I love Elder Scrolls.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

Another thing that's worth mentioning is the undo option. I love that! You can erase any action you take during a puzzle stage as long as you are still alive. It takes away much of the game's frustration. You also have checkpoints about halfway through a level AND you can find or purchase items to help make the puzzle stages a bit easier

So they give you a lot to work with, at least on normal difficulty anyway. Hard mode may be another matter entirely
