See, I'm the opposite of one or two favorite consoles. I am the kinda, if I see at least 10 games on a system I'll get it. The way I'm running it right now, I just get the games I want, and if I need another system for a game, I wait and see if there is anything else I want. That's why I'm thinking of getting a BC PS3, that way I can pick up the PS2 and PS1 games I missed along with PS3.

That's what I ended up realizing. I only seriously collect for three systems: N64, Xbox and PC. Those are my ultimate favorites. Yeah, even if you just stick to the good stuff (which is what I do) a PS2 or PC collection can become huge.

Heck, I haven't bought a Saturn or GBC game since 2008. Most of the other systems I have in my collection other than N64, Xbox and PC I have only a small number of games for (less than 10.)

This guy sounds like he has issues that can only be solved with professional help. It sounds like the issues run deeper than just his collecting, he sounds depressed.

I colect TG-16, Playstation, PS2 and 360. Some of those thoughts have crossed my mind at one time or another. I still managed to stay in touch with the world, buy a home and get married though.
On my collecting journey I accumulated waaaay more than i can ever possibly play. Most of my stuff is sealed still. Maybe I'll play them...maybe not. I don't let it bother me.

The PCE isn't THAT expensive to collect for.

The most expensive "must have" game that isn't named Sapphire* is Dracula X, and that can be found for around $100 if you look around and don't care about spine cards.

*The bootleg versions are very high quality and will not break your bank. There's even a debate whether they are actually boots or legit!
