Bit.Trip Runner.

You go through the whole damn level for 3 minutes, flawlessly, and you touch a tiny dot that happened to fly towards you when you least expected... you have to retrace all your steps. Back to start.

It's absurd.

Super Meat Boy, and Dead Space 2 on survival mode (have to beat the whole game in only 3 saves, with no check points.)
People who think they know every thing are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

You can be in a 3-5 hr match WINNING just to lose to an unlucky dice roll, land on a powerful enemy territory, and start another rematch. Its like 4 or 5 years later and after hundreds of hours Ive only completed the game once, still have like over 500 cards to collect and the deck variations are endless.
My all time favorite strategy game!!!

I've only played the PS2 Culdcept, but it is an underappreciated Gem. There is some serious depth to the strategy in those games for anyone that likes that kind of thing.

How far have you gotten? I'm only on 1-11, right before the first boss. It's already testing my patience.

Because it's one of the hardest shooters you can find.

Ikaruga is really easy compared to DOJ.
The pic shows the 3rd Boss while the game has 5 Stages (with a huge difficulty spike on the 5th)

If you clear certain conditions you are allowed to go into a second loop which is twice as hard as the regular 5 stages.

I'm not good at these types of games to begin with, so there is very little chance I'd ever get very far in that game.

I know there are more frustrating games, so I'll just say it's the most frustrating I own at the moment.

You think DOJ BL is hard? Try DFK BL :) I find DOJ to be mean, but in a way that I like.

For me, Pink Sweets is the worst. I never feel like I got as far as I could at my skill level, but some random shit always kills me. I think I overthink Yagawa games, and it hinders my play.

I got stuck in 1-11 on Normal (because I don't go on if I don't get all the gold). I set the difficulty down to easy and reached 3-9. The only difference is that there is no gold to tempt you, otherwise the levels are the same.

DOJ is probably the easiest in the Donpachi series, IMO. It's so forgiving.

A GEM indeed, anyone with a strategy trading card game fetish should hunt it down and adapt to its curve. They should really bring more Culdcept to the states this time with dedicated tournaments online and dlc booster packs.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
