On a side note, how does HalfLife play on the DC? I know you can use the keyboard and mouse, but how does it work on normal controller with only one stick?

Feels a lot like Quake 3. It's not unusable, but, if you have the ability to play a version with the mouse and keyboard do it.

Seriously, get the PS2 version. It supports 16:9, has a fantastic Coop mode and supports USB mouse and keyboard right into the USB ports on the PS2.

The DC version works well, Stick for aim and the face buttons for movement. I have not played the DC version for a while because of the Looooong disc loads between in game sections. The real pain is when I accidently went the wrong way. TWO long disc loads since I had to back track again.

But on the plus there are all the mod levels such as They Hunger on the Dreamcast that can be seen on the HDTV. 8)

I ended up spending more time with the tech demo level in Red Faction than the actual game. They had really nice glass physics so it was fun to blow up the greenhouse, and then tunnel around with my infinite rocket launcher and satchel charges. Too bad the main game suffered from the realization that if players can tunnel everywhere they'll break your level design in half.
I assume you mean the PC version? Or is it accessible in the PS2 version?

I've never understood why some people have trouble with this. I know all people are different and everything, but I just don't get it. The first time I played one was at my friends house, I played the original Halo with my friend after sneaking into his brother's room. I picked it up immedietly. It took me a while to get used to the sensitivity, but I got it. I also find it funny I'm usually on the top of the leader board in TF2 on PC when I use my 360 controller.

But, on the other hand, I can't play games that control like Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. I like either dual stick or Doom 64 Style controls. Left/Right turns, Forward/Back are walk that direction.

I dunno basically. I always had trouble aiming fast enough with dual thumbsticks, the games always seemed to sensitive to me. However I picked up Goldeneye and Perfect Dark in no time at all.

Before you played Halo, had you spent much time playing FPS games with a keyboard and mouse?

There's no way you're achieving that on any "pro" servers. I could see it on Valves servers maybe, but not with the enthusiast/pro crowd (at least not with the ones I play with). You'd be fucking murdered.

Nope. May have something to do with it. I have a thing, I call it an Englishmen's knot, in my hand. It's a knot in my left hand that pulls my fingers slowly in, and only nordic whites from the Brittish Isles can get them. Anyway, this makes it nigh impossible to play computer games due to the WASD keys. I can get it fixed, but it last about 2 months before it starts pulling my fingers down agian. I can hold a controller though, so that's how I play.

Possible, I don't really play that option. It just seemed odd to me that I was doing so good, that may be why. I do have trouble with sniping moving targets though.
