Re: Feelings about the latest episode of South Park

I feel like I watch too much television, yet I only have a handful of shows I watch every year (one or two a week, on average, with periods where every show has ended). I tire of every show eventually, some sooner than others. South Park undoubtedly has some classics, but I've yet to bring myself to watch it anything but sporadically over the last... thirteen years (or something like that). I wish every show had a time line from the start that gave them limits on how long they'd air, to ensure freshness. I looked forward to Lost for that very reason, and even enjoyed the first few seasons, but they went and convoluted themselves anyway. Family Guy devotees are even more mysterious to me, but that's for another thread.

Regardless, I'd be curious to see this episode. It's not common to see any serious self-reflection in a comedy.

Amazing. The Book of Mormon was close to winning 70% of every award they were nominated for. Quite an accomplishment.

So Matt & Trey were on Daily Show last night, talking about the musical and that last episode. They said they had fun making it, still have fun making South Park, and they aren't trying to get out or anything.

What Popo is talking about.

You would think regardless of what they wanted to do they would not be able to slander or talk down about making a show they create while its still on the air.

Uhhh... these are the guys who created South Park, and have no problems calling out the network that runs their show (will Mohammad be shown on TV, or will Comedy Central puss out?)

While I get what your saying, they always 'speak out' through there show, they were pretty much slagging themselves off in the last episodes.

Have to wait and see what the next episode brings I guess.

For those wondering about Parker/Stone wanting out of South Park, anyone see their interview with Jon Stewart?
