It's out there translated already, and the cost of removing the possible contentious licensing issues, coupled with paying off those who've already done the fan translation has to be negated by us nutjobs who'd probably buy twelve copies out of sheer gratitude.BoringSupreez wrote:I want Earthbound on DS.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai for the PSP.
I don't even own a PSP yet. But I do plan to buy one and if this game got a English port of some kind I think I would kill a man for it.

The idea of the topic was good, but everyone keeps mentioning just the games they would want to get a re-release or an English version.
The point, I reckon, was to think of games that didn't have their full potential tapped because of the limitations of the original hardware.
What the hell would change in an Earthbound port? Come on.

We could have a map always displaying on the bottom screen, while the action happened on the top, like in Chrono Trigger. It would be convenient.jfrost wrote:The idea of the topic was good, but everyone keeps mentioning just the games they would want to get a re-release or an English version.

Samba De Amigo, Twilight Princess, Okami and Pikmin all ended up fine, at least two of them even better than the original console releases. The trick is choosing the right non light-gun game, the only port that didn't seem well deserved that I've seen so far is Mario Tennis, but I'm probably just skipping over a lot of games.dsheinem wrote:Ugh. Sorry, I disagree. The industry needs to stop porting things other than light gun games to the Wii, as FAR too often the ports are shoddy, require motion control, or both.prfsnl_gmr wrote:We are missing the obvious...
I would love to see all of the Panzer Dragoon games - including Saga - ported to the Wii. (Perhaps, SEGA would even update the graphics a bit...I can only dream.)

Truth. Those 3D things they did were just BRUTAL.noiseredux wrote:after seeing what Square did with FFIV Complete, I'd really like to see III get ported to PSP. None of that 3d remake shit they pulled on the DS.

You're missing out big time.nightrnr wrote:The Shining Force III Trilogy.
I've told myself that I would buy any console that gets an English release of this.
I know there is a fan translation (possibly still a WIP), but my PC won't run SSF very well and I won't chip my Saturn.
I would love this to happen too. It feel like it's really unlikely though. And yeah, the DS games are total drek. They literally hurt my eyes.noiseredux wrote:after seeing what Square did with FFIV Complete, I'd really like to see III get ported to PSP. None of that 3d remake shit they pulled on the DS.

Re: Games You Wish Would Get Ports
In that case, I want a collection of ports of every 2D-gameplay Mario game, redone in the art style of Super Mario All Stars, with NSMB Wii multiplayer added, plus the option to add extra items like was done with the SMA4 e-cards, and a full featured level editor. And I want it on the Wii because it's the latest Nintendo home console and it should have enough power to handle all the bullet bills that are going to be on screen in my custom levels.jfrost wrote:The idea of the topic was good, but everyone keeps mentioning just the games they would want to get a re-release or an English version.

Seiken Densetsu 3/Secret of Mana 2
I know it's been translated and released as a patched ROM. I know I can get a repro cart in english. I just want Square to officially acknowledge that they shafted North America/UK when they decided not to release it outside of Japan.. All the Mana sequels we've had since failed to make up for that.. Do the right thing, SquareEnix!
Also, would a Battle Arena Toshinden compilation including the 4th JP-only game really kill someone?!
