There's no database. You literally manually make up your entire list, so you could put in anything you want.

Yes you could. Are you really saying its more difficult to type the name of your game, than it is to select it from a master list that may or may not have some obscure titles though?

I'm having some trouble, how do u set a game as "Mastered". It won't let me.

I think now you have to write something in the "progress note" section to make it go through.

What if a game you played is a rom or a backup and played on modded system? What do you put it as? Owned or Borrowed/rented?

Same here.

I use backloggery for anything I'm playing, but stick with IGN (and maybe RFG when I'm not lazy and get a profile up there) for games I actually own to document or whatever.

Glad to see registration is back up! I just added a ton of people to my multitap. I hope to add a ton more soon.
