I will admit that I just organized my turbo / pc engine games by spine color, then alphabetically. It DOES look purty. I'm thinking about doing the same for the genesis- all the old school black spines, then the crappy red, then 3rd party, then the cardboard bullsh!t.

By system. And I sort my genesis games by color. For the most part. Because I also sort them by series. Which leaves a problem when trying to group all the sonic games together, which have both red and grey cases. And some other series like shinobi. But grouping the series together supercedes color, so I do my best to make it look good.

By system, and then alphabetically. I put them on the shelf wherever they fit.
My consoles on the other hand are just spread all over the floor. I would never walk around that room in the dark.

[EDIT: realized this part it wasn't helping]

I used to sort my games by franshise, within Genre before, but after rearranging everything I can't get back to that. If I do sort them again, It'll be by genre, after system of course. NO order to which system goes by which though, it's mixed up.

How do you organize your game collection?

Post by MrEco »

The idea for this thread was inspired by this funny article.

So, how do you organize the games in your game collection?

Me, I do them from worst to least, left to right, based off of personal opinion.
