If your hands cramp up with the ds lite, get a dsi. There are more stuff on the ds that is worthwhile playing on the ds anyways. I recently got a psp and regret getting it.

Not too sure about that one.

I have the same experience. But it's usually a week or two in between PSP sessions around here.

BTW, what firmware do you run? Seems like the PSP keys being leaked would have made this thing a lot less complicated by now. Not sure why they can't sign a CFW installer with the PSP master keys and have it run on any PSP regardless of hardware model or OFW version.

I actually have a PSP 2000 (permanently modded) and a stock 3000. I tried the hen soft hack for the 3000 but hated it. At the time you had to get a jpg picture to make the hack worked and it only worked like once every 100 tries or so and it was totally random. Then once I got it working it would periodically crash, causing me to have to run the hack over and over again. Add to that, the fact that if you go a month or more without playing your PSP the battery will always be dead and once again you will have to rehack it. I'm not sure if the hen hack has changed since then but I was so disgusted with it that I just kept my CFW model 2000 for isos and emulators and use my 3000 for new games on UMD. I do like the more vivid colors on the 3000 screen and the built in microphone is nice to have, as well as the component and composite out to TV for both games and movies which the 2000 model does not support.

I suppose what i am saying is, go for the PSP1. For what you will pay for the NGP you could probably get both models of PSP1 and still buy some dirt cheap games at Gamestop on a buy 2 get 1 free kind of deal.

If you dislike the Nintendo DS Lite cause the screens are small and it's childish, I think you'll love the PSP. The screen is hedonistically huge and it has a few great console-grade games available for it.

@Purkeynator - Yep, the HEN has evolved beyond comparison now. Now that the security keys have been cracked, they made a EBOOT that you run from your XBM. Boot 100% of the time, no thrills, no gimmicks.

I gotta ask, did ANYONE read this as:
NeoGeoPocket vs PSP-3000?

I sure as hell did
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

As do I. I hope the name is just temporary, because it sounds really fucking stupid.

I don't know why anybody would worry about the NGP's title. Sony already said that NGP is just a codename. It'll almost definitely not be called NGP when it launches. I mean not even Sony is enough of an emotionless company to think that "Next Generation Portable" doesn't sound incredibly vague and stupid. It doesn't even have the word PlayStation in the title which has been a staple of every console they've made to date. However it probably won't be called the PSP2 either since that would've been the obvious choice and they never would have bothered with code-names if they were going to call it something that everyone expected.
