Well as far as i know a reciept is enough for sales on Amazon.

Paypal policy is to have delivery confirmation. if you dont have it they will just say "we tried but based on evidence you provided we couldnt fight it agaist the credit card company" or something like that.

paypal asks for delivery confirmation and thats what you have to give them.

it sucks but hey its worth it.

delivery confirmation is .75 cents so you sell 100 products thats $75. i this year i chose to pick and chose what i use delivery confirmatin with. i find that i have more money giving out refunds than buying delivery confirmation for every item.
i get delivery confirmation when
1. item is expensive, usually at least 20-30 dollars
2. item goes to cities
3. florida (slow post service)
4. buyer has low or bad feedback
5. racketboy purchased something off me
6. george bush made a pruchase on the internets
7. to buy more time at the post office to hit on the cute lady working there

follow my advice and your sure to be a huge success

BTW, I was thinking....

Instead of Boycotting Paypal (which is impractical for people like me), we need to boost awareness of alternatives like Google Checkout.
If anybody would like to help me program an interface for Google Checkout for my store, I would like to offer it as a mode of payment.

As far as i know, ebay OWNES paypal so if this is a fact we will never, ever see another checkout system on ebay, unless ebay buys google checkout.

Here in the US that sounds like grounds for an Anti-Trust lawsuit...

BTW, I send out well over 1000 items every year, which would be more than $750 a year for confirmation.
I think I've lost about $70 worth of cash/merchandise between Paypal disputes and lost shipments.
I think I'm staying to my plan :)

Paypal is indeed owned by eBay. It's not really an anti-trust issue yet because of competing sites like Yahoo auctions, and because eBay allows users to let customers buy with money orders and such. If eBay had at least 85% of the US on-line auction market (which may actually be the case) and ONLY allowed sellers to use PayPal, that would make for a more solid anti-trust case.

Oh, well, poop... I read recently they are doing better than eBay in Japan anyway. I never used them, but I guess in some sense it's sad to see them go.

I used them WAY back in the day when they were rather new and free.
But after a while, eBay's shopper traffic just became too big to ignore...
