I rather enjoyed NiGHTS 2.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The second entry in the series is my favorite game on the genesis, but the thought of how a current reboot would be screwed up terrifies me. I think this situation is best to leave sleeping dogs where they lay.

 at everyone listing stuff from previous gen. Is Shenmue 3 really long overdue?

My vote would be for stuff from the 32 bit era and earlier -

Eternal Champions
Killer Instinct
River Raid
Jet Moto
Rise of the Triad (supposedly in the works!)
Battle Arena Toshinden
Smash TV/Total Carnage
Intelligent Qube

I'd also love sequels (spiritual or otherwise) to these shmups:
Gaiares
Lords of Thunder
Aleste series
Mars Matrix
Einhander

...also, it's too bad Treasure doesn't generally believe in sequels :(

Yes, and yes! My buddy Joe who writes for Golgotron said he interviewed one of the main creators of Shining Force (i'm blanking on his name) and told me the poor guy was pretty much in tears because he wasn't able to make a "true" sequel due to licensing issues?

As much as this was true, it's kind of not anymore haha I mean there's Sin and Punishment 2, the 2nd Wii Bleach game, the GBA games are kind of sequels to Guardian Heroes and Gunstar Heroes, the NDS Bangai-o Spirits & many people consider Ikaruga to be the spirtual sequel to Radiant Silvergun and they've been hinting towards completing the "trilogy" for the 360 for years now

I forgot about half life. That would be nice. Hopefully Portal 2 will have something about HL3.

We can always hope for a version on the 3DS. :D

We have to wait until the 4DS is released so we can truly experience "Time & space dimensional confrontational gameplay at it's ballziest."
