I recall Lion King on the Gamegear to be a depressing experience.

Re: Top 5 Best and Worst Movie Based Games
Kind of blur here on what "based" means.
Sure Batman on the NES had the Joker and Axis Chemical Plant, but that's about it. I guess the ending does mimic the movie, but the game is based more on the comic than the movie (why KGBeast was a ninja in the game is perplexing).
Games like LOTR and Aladdin actually combine the film into the game, which make them feel more movie based to me. Of course every game will stray from the original material (for example Star Wars Episode III on xbox) but some games mentioned aren't based on a movie, only a character.

As far as I'm concerned Jedi Knight and KOTOR are not just all time great games based on film, they're far and away better than the prequel films themselves.

Let's face it, that's not saying much.Hatta wrote:As far as I'm concerned Jedi Knight and KOTOR are not just all time great games based on film, they're far and away better than the prequel films themselves.

That Superman game on N64 was pretty horrid, not sure if that was based on any particular movie though.
Surprisingly, I quiet enjoyed Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on PSone. It was actually quite a well built game.

But they aren't based on film at all. They're based on an idea.Hatta wrote:As far as I'm concerned Jedi Knight and KOTOR are not just all time great games based on film...
