I just use GameSpot, to keep track of what games I own and what not. I kinda listen to the reviews, but not too much. I would probably switch to Backloggery, but you can't register to the site being under construction.

You guys have no idea, actually yeah you probably do, about how much it pains me to see kids at places like GameSpot crap on systems like the Genesis to make it look like they sound cool and educated about retro games.

I know most gaming sites are shit at this point. Only ones have any interest in are RB, RFGeneration, and Bitmob, which was made by Dan Hsu recently, and all the articles are member-made. The quality varies, and you don't always agree with the opinions, but it's the least likely to sell out of the sites out there.

The only big gaming website I visit aside from Racketboy is Destructoid, but I get tired of them often. It's always the same news template, sharing something from another website and asking the community: "What about you? Are you ready for game X in Y months?" Their reviews aren't well written either.
I enjoy reading 1UP though, based solely on their retro and RPG websites. Always thoughtful articles that say things that, well, weren't said a million times elsewhere. Something that stuck with me was a discussion they had once (by Kat Bayley, as I recall) about Dragon Quest and the Japanese culture. It was so entertaining and far removed from the same crap we read every day in other gaming websites. I always enjoy Jeremy Parish's articles as well.
Gaming websites do have a long way to go in regards to writing, discussion and maturity generally.

Pretty crazy how much misinformation there is to cleaning carts. I guess you can never state how to clean them enough, because people on gamefaqs still ask for it. I don't mind answering it though, but it pains me when they say "nahh i just blow or just windex with ammonia" and shit all over your explanation.
I mean its not hard to clean them, rubbing alcohol 91% preferably denatured/contact cleaner for contacts, rubbing alcohol for marker on glossy labels, and goo gone for stickers.
